Whenever possible, Dr. Sfakianos uses minimally invasive techniques to treat women with gynecological cancers, reducing blood loss, decreasing pain, and speeding recovery. He is the first gynecologic oncologist in the Chattahoochee Valley to be trained in robotic surgical techniques. When necessary a more radical approach is taken that involves extensive debulking of cancer and reconstruction of pelvic organs and structures, including the intestines, urinary system, and lymph nodes.
Dr. Sfakianos works with his team at the John B. Amos Cancer Center specializing in gynecologic cancer treatments. Together, they bring women the latest in diagnostics and the most comprehensive cancer care possible.
